Pokémon 151 Sample Tin By Pokémon International.

Pokémon 151 Sample Tin Box. They come in packs of 10 pieces!

Hello Friends! We are starting our blog with a review of one of the most recently released Pokémon Trading Card Game. We are going back to the Kanto region with Scarlet & Violet Pokémon – 151!

These new set of Pokémon products have been out for sale in the US for quite sometime, and what is surprising is, the hype around these sets have been outrageous! They are going out like hotcakes since its release, and have so far brought some of the old millennial ones and maybe even the older generations back to the hobby! There are a variety of products made just for this series, and today, we are going to be reviewing one of them.

In our review today are the Pokémon 151 Mini Tins! You may look at these mini tins as nothing special, but surprisingly they come with some heat! These, at one point, were the value kings when it comes to getting more packs when they were selling for $99.00 MSRP for the box, now people caught up and they are much more expensive now than the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Mew: 151 Ultra Premium Collection Box – and there is a reason why. We are going to try and break this down and see why you should add these tins to your collection!

The Box Comes In Ten Pieces.

The Pokémon 151 Mini Tins can be purchased in a box set, and you get a total of ten of these tins! You get great designs and color for these tins, and these tins do come in handy once you have emptied out the items inside. People collect the tins for the simplicity of the design alone (I have seen in store and online where people are on the hunt for the Gengar Mini Tins from this set!). At one point the box set of ten tins were priced around $99.00. However, due to the great deal of demand for the original 151, one tin bought at your local Target or Walmart will cost you about $11.99 MSRP or about $120.00 for the ten tins. The same price at one point to the Mew 151 Ultra Premium Collection Box, and there is a reason why it just beats it.

They Come With Two Booster Packs Per Tin!

One of main sell for these tins are the fact that you will receive two booster packs inside one tin. So, if you get the chance to purchase the whole box of ten tins, you are getting twenty booster packs, compared to the Mew 151 Ultra Premium Collection Box with only 16 packs (although, a guaranteed 16 packs); an absolute bargain!

It Comes With A Coin And Collectable Art Card.

Included inside the tin is an outrageously large coin you can use to play the trading card game and a collectible art card that when completed, will form a pretty cool art poster!

Not a bad bonus for one small tin! The only thing I really dislike about these tins are the bonus coins. Like mentioned previously, they are big! While it helps with getting you started with playing the game, it is just hilarious to be carrying this giant coin with you to the tournament without people getting a little chuckle. I have only opened one tin and I totally enjoyed the fact that there is another form of ‘cards’ to collect besides the Pokémon cards itself!

While the cards in these booster packs will always vary, I still enjoyed opening them; we did not pull the Charizard, but it was still fun to break some booster packs!

No question, Pokémon 151 I believe is, in my opinion, the best set in the Scarlet & Violet series (I will have another article explaining my enamor to the set). The mini tins for this set is a great entry point to enjoy opening and collecting Pokémon again! The tins alone have great looking designs, with collectible art card inside the tins. It comes with two booster packs and a coin, so you can jump start to adding the cards to build your deck and play the trading card game! If you are interested in playing the card game, there are better sets to create a deck like the newly released Paradox Rift. While it is too early to tell how well this set will do in years to come. I believe the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: 151 will be highly sought after once the printing of these are done.
